Provide Operation and Maintenance personnel basic concepts of electrical systems and component maintenance for the Siemens Energy Generator and associated systems for simple cycle or combined cycle application.
Description
The Plant Electrical Maintenance Course is designed to provide Operation and Maintenance personnel basic concepts of electrical systems and component maintenance for the Siemens Energy Generator and associated systems for simple cycle or combined cycle application. In addition, this course includes routine inspection recommendations, and discussion of site specific equipment preventive maintenance. Upon completion of this course, those in attendance will be prepared for on-the-job training in plant electrical maintenance procedures and implementation of the site specific preventive maintenance program. A working knowledge of basic mechanical/electrical principles and the ability to interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings is required. Completion of the Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, and Balance of Plant Familiarization courses (as applicable) is highly recommended.
Course Content
A combination of classroom lecture and practical demonstration will be used in addition to frequent plant walkdowns. Some out of class study may be assigned. The following topics are representative of those covered in this course. Course content is based on Siemens Energy Scope of Supply for the specific plant configuration of each site and is tailored as such.
