The Generator Maintenance Course is designed to provide Operation and Maintenance personnel basic concepts of maintenance and inspections for the Siemens Energy Generator and associated systems. Upon completion of this course, those in attendance will be prepared for on-the-job training in generator maintenance procedures and implementation of the site specific preventive maintenance program. A working knowledge of basic mechanical/electrical principles and the ability to interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings is required. Completion of the Steam or Gas Turbine Familiarization courses (as applicable) is highly recommended.
Course Content
A combination of classroom lecture and plant walkdowns will be used whenever possible. Some out of class study may be assigned. The following topics are representative of those covered in this course. Course content is based on Siemens Energy Scope of Supply for the specific plant configuration of each site and is tailored as such.
