(OPS212.2) SPPA-T3000 Simulator - Onsite

Familiarizing the control room operator with the various features of the SPPA-T3000™ Control System as it functions to control a simulated gas turbine power plant.

Description

The Basic Power Plant Control Room Simulator course is designed to round out and enhance the Control Room Operator’s plant knowledge gained either from recent attendance of Familiarization and Operations training or equivalent operations experience by familiarizing the control room operator with the various features of the SPPA-T3000™ Control System as it functions to control a simulated gas turbine power plant.

The Basic Simulator covers an introduction to the control system with extensive hands-on practice in utilizing the control system during plant evolutions.  These evolutions may include normal and abnormal equipment operation, normal plant startup, operation, and shutdown procedures.  Our state-of-the-art power plant simulator provides an exceptional platform for operators of all experience levels to gain the necessary confidence and experience in controlling, recognizing and interpreting the interactions between the various plant systems on the SPPA-T3000™ control system.

A unique feature of this course is flexibility; the instructor evaluates each operator to determine his level of experience and knowledge.  The instructor then tailors the course to challenge each and every operator, ensuring all of his plant related questions have been answered.

Upon completion of this training, personnel are prepared to effectively participate alongside the Siemens Energy Startup and Commissioning engineers or attend advanced simulator training (optional training program), dealing with power plant malfunctions and emergencies.
