A small investment today can yield large results tomorrow

Customer Operations and Maintenance Training

The Siemens Energy Customer Operations and Maintenance Training Team provides total plant training focused on the needs of plant management, operations and maintenance personnel.

  • Periodic training is a necessary and essential tool to help ensure O&M personnel maintain an acceptable level of knowledge. Training also provides continued improvement of depth of understanding.
  • Periodic training is an effective means to keep personnel engaged, proactive and ownership minded.

At the core of our training programs are the Familiarization and Operations courses. This is typically provided as a part of initial plant training but can also be used for new hires. Both courses integrate a combination of classroom instruction and associated system walk downs. The goal of the Familiarization and Operations course is to provide an understanding of the Siemens Energy gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and water/steam cycle components, customized to each customer’s specific site.

The Distributed Control System (DCS) is a critical topic within the training process. Siemens Energy Customer Operations and Maintenance Training Team utilizes state-of-the-art power plant simulators to provide an exceptional experience for operators of all skill levels. These simulators provide operators an opportunity to gain the necessary confidence and experience in controlling, recognizing, and interpreting the interactions between various plant systems. Training will show how the power plant equipment and systems interact with the SPPA-T3000TM distributed control system. Content and delivery is customized to allow the training delivered to be conducted based on your needs and to fit into your shift-work schedule.

After initial plant training, learning pathways are developed based on an individual’s role at the plant. We have constructed a comprehensive listing of courses to meet the training needs for both Operations and Maintenance staff personnel.

Long Term Training Programs are available to assist customers with their continuing training needs. These programs work well with tight training budgets and provide fixed pricing for 3 to 5 years while providing a choice of any offering in our catalog. Training is focused on meeting a customer’s changing needs year to year.

Whatever your training needs are, the Siemens Energy Customer Operations and Maintenance Training Team stands ready to be your point of contact.
