(DCS311.1) Advanced Control Room with Instrumentation
Familiarize the Operator / Technician with the troubleshooting an actual system using the SPPA-T3000 process control trainer.
Description
The Advanced Control Room with Instrumentation course is intended to familiarize the Operator / Technician with the troubleshooting an actual system using the SPPA-T3000 process control trainer. This course will be advanced operation and troubleshooting of the SPPA-T3000 control system with an emphasis on being able to troubleshoot to the field devices. The Operator / Technician will become familiar with the various features of the SPPA-T3000™ Control System and what can be done as the control room operator or the auxiliary operator to facilitate the power plant operations and assist the technician.
The Advanced Control Room with Instrumentation course covers a practical introduction to the control system with extensive hands-on practice in utilizing the SPPA-T3000™ workbench for troubleshooting including logic tracing using the participant’s home logic. This is accomplished by loading the plant logic onto the training platform.
This course of instruction will also include an in-depth use of functional logic diagrams, including tracing logic for troubleshooting. The course will also include tracing alarms from the alarm sequence display to the field devices and finally troubleshooting the field devices (basic troubleshooting).
A unique feature of this course is flexibility. The instructor evaluates each operator / technician to determine their level of experience and knowledge and then tailors the course to challenge each individual operator / technician, ensuring all of their plant related questions have been answered.
Upon completion of this training, personnel are prepared to effectively utilize the plant’s SPPA-T3000™ control system.
