The Executive Overview Seminar is designed to provide a basic understanding of the equipment and systems that comprise a Siemens Energy Gas or Steam Turbine power plant.  The goal is to provide an introduction to the scope and complexity of a Siemens Energy combined or simple cycle power plant, introduction of Siemens Energy terms and general layout of equipment and systems.

 

Course Content

The following topics are representative of those covered in the gas turbine, balance of plant, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), steam turbine and associated systems of the combined cycle training program.  Actual course content will be customized to the customer’s needs.

Gas turbine and associated systems phase:

      • Purge / Spin Cooling

Balance of plant, HRSG and associated systems phase:

Steam turbine phase:

  • ST plant overview

  • Operational considerations

      • Cold / Warm / Hot

      • Rolling off Turning Gear

      • Hold and Soak points

      • Loading

    • Operating at load with Plant Master Control

    • Shutdown / Cooldown
