Description
The Plant Chemistry for Operators training course is designed to provide a background in the basic chemistry fundamentals associated with fossil power plants. The training will provide a better understanding and raise the basic knowledge of the importance of monitoring and maintaining water chemistry to specifications in support of plant operation. New hire and experienced power plant operators may need to be exposed to the basic chemistry fundamentals to develop an appreciation for the importance of maintaining chemistry within specifications. The goal of this training program is to provide operators an increased understanding of basic chemistry, chemical reactions, water treatment, chemical additions, water purity, steam purity and corrosion.
