(OPS203.1) Steam Turbine Familiarization/Operations - Industrial ST

Designed to provide a basic understanding of the equipment and its associated auxiliary systems.

Description

The Siemens Energy Industrial Steam Turbine – Generator Set Familiarization and Operations training course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the equipment and its associated auxiliary systems.  The training will support the installation, startup, and operations of commercial power projects.  Managerial, professional and technical personnel perform functions vital to the safe and efficient operation of a power plant.  In order to fulfill their job responsibilities, they require an understanding of the Siemens Energy turbine-generator system and its interrelationship with the associated balance of plant systems.  The goal of this course is to provide this understanding customized to each customer’s specific site.  All training programs are limited to the Siemens Energy scope of supply.

Course Content

The following topics are representative of those covered in this course.  Actual course content will be customized to the specific plant configuration.  Classroom lecture, guided discussions, and system walk downs (only if conducted on site) when practical will be utilized.  Some out of class study may be assigned.  All required instructional materials are provided to each student.
