(OIT301.3) Understanding Steam Turbine Controller and Turbine Stress Evaluator

Understanding the Steam Turbine Controller and Turbine Stress Evaluator

Description

The Understanding the Steam Turbine Controller and Turbine Stress Evaluator course is intended to familiarize plant personnel with the operation of the Siemens KN Steam Turbine Stress Controller and Turbine Stress Evaluator. Upon completion of this training, personnel will have an understanding of the importance of monitoring and controlling the stresses placed on the Steam Turbine and its associated equipment during startup, shutdown and load changing operations.

This course will provide them with the tools to observe and understand the proper operation of the controllers that drive the Steam Turbine and be able to anticipate the actions necessary for the Steam Turbine to startup, shutdown or change loading successfully while minimizing stress on the machine and extending useful operating life between maintenance periods.
